About the role:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Specialist to join our Utility Sector team. The Operations Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing logistics operations to ensure the seamless flow of materials, equipment, and supplies within the utility sector supply chain. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge logistics technology and make a meaningful impact on our clients’ operations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day logistics operations for utility sector clients, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Work closely with utility companies to understand their unique logistics requirements and develop customized solutions to meet their needs.
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and third-party vendors to schedule deliveries and ensure on-time arrivals at utility sites.
- Utilize logistics management software to track shipments, maintain accurate records, and generate performance reports.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the logistics operations and implement best practices accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of logistics services.
- Provide timely and professional communication to clients regarding the status of shipments, inventory levels, and any logistics-related issues.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the utility sector logistics to maintain a competitive edge.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Operations Manager or senior leadership team.
